you are,

unlike anything,

a violent flame,

a burning sensation,

too intense to be tamed.

 

you set this heart on fire

consuming this soul with no fear

i ignite when you come near

and incinerate when you appear

 

you are a roaring blaze

the smoke that disrupts the calm

devouring all things familiar

for i illuminate when you’re near.

and you fade when I tear.

for as long as you’re here.
