The Shadow Man

 

 

He lurks  behind you
Following where he can
Silently sneaking upon you
For he's the shadow man

 

He doesn't make a sound
Though he's right there
It's getting close to Halloween
So we had best beware

 

When you're in the shade
He's never even seen
But when you step into the light
He's there past the gleam

 

Though he has a shape
He doesn't have a face
If you try to run away
He'll be there in your space

 

Through the light of day
He'll always be with you
Maybe just hiding out
To jump up and say boo
