Roller Coaster

Roller Coaster

A Poem by Anonymous

You glow - I shine.

You laugh - I smile.

You stand - I lie.

You cry - I die.

You sigh - I moan,

You say I’m loud.

But it’s my room -

I am allowed.

You bite my lips,

I kiss you hard,

You scratch my back,

The room’s too hot.

You say “I love” -

I - love you more.

We fall asleep

Only at four.

Next day we fight,

This is the war.

Break up with me -

I slam the door.

You will come back,

I’ll wipe your tears,

Our fights and feelings -

Both too fierce.

We fall asleep

I hold you tight,

Swear to myself we’ll never

fight.

Our love is very black and white.

I knew I saw

This bright red light,

But took this roller-coaster ride.

It’s morning. We

wake up. You smile.

You stand - I lie.

You cry - I die.

You glow - I shine.

You laugh - I smile.

Forever yours.

Forever mine.
