I am sitting here all alone
looking out over the valley
of dawn's beginning
I'm still here,
a fact that amazes me.
I managed to do
the one thing
that made you more angry
then any other.
I am still here!
When you tried to stop me,
to quash my thirst of creativity,
to halt my pen,
I came back
stronger then ever.
I am the one that defied you
I am the one that told you
I would do it!
I would follow my dream
and my talents
as you never did.
Never will I allow my heart
to be stepped on, never again.
I am the paper you couldn't burn,
I am the soul you couldn't eat, I am the bones you could never break!
Long after you have gone,
I shall remain,
because I am not one to be taunted.
I will survive you!
the resilience of the narrator's spirit...the bone chilling fight, the denial of being denied, the resounding response to the calling of the soul.....it's a tale (one that i can almost relate to, as a reader) of the narrator's struggle, strength, spirit and spirituality....it's a tale of unparalleled courage....it's an irrevocable stand, a promise one makes to oneself when the darkness is darker than the midnight sky, of a dawn that will be multi-hued and full of promise.
it's a verse that gives hope in a bleak hour, a verse that can be a ray of light in a dark dungeon!
stunning!
this is mindblowing .. i absolutely loved it .. ! not only was the direction of this piece extremely positive, the writing had almost a sense of conviction in it which really came across to me .. well done .. keep up the good work :)
Although I refuse to stay.
The one who will be hurt most by my abandonment of THIS location is the one who caused me to leave. So, I will run from here, but I will succeed. I will become what I aspire to and that will always be BETTER than she.
I really liked this.
Thank you... and I'm sorry it took so long for me to get to it.

When I first discovered my talent for writing, I was thirteen. I discovered that my loneliness wasn't the worst thing in the world. By creating other places, other worlds, other characters, I wasn't s.. more..
