Perhaps The child within Will resolve the adult malfunction Take the hand of innocence Habitually long ignored Lift its motion to stop Go Please And Take me And gently reintroduce Consciousness Accepting childishness The product of growing older As not the artifact of youth But the growing up dents in one’s armor An evolvement Perhaps never sustained Of Imagination Past the coloring book of youth It happens You know To me You And the person next to you Who might become the obstacle The everyday kind of hurdle in childhood We forgot how to negotiate The enemy? Can imagination… help? We all know the answer © 2013 Odin Roark |
