The underbelly waitsA Poem by Souladareateasefear, and hope and fear to hope Succumbing In the dark tear drippings blacken these edges that cut deeply upon fixed ripped alienated years ever despondent open spaces I RUN Hiding behind a tree, closing my eyes as screams wail, incessantly loudly, from the forest breeze Eyes wide shut there seems to be more... light... promise, premise seeing this way, holding blight bay HOLD ON I have to it'scoming the presence Slithering down the back, sliding mind the ever present scream I swallow it back gagging upon the reflex to punch holes, in the fearful unknown Oil slick stains the street as I make rain bowed shapes turning them upside down treasure rains splashing the ground The underbelly waits And I crawl upon its hanging weight peeking out from behind my tree I look for the beam of light A blood red moon scrying fright, ominously stares whispering tree Leaves ominously vested integrated needed giving lavished yearnings touch back Promised Escaping the dark hollow © 2013 SouladareateaseReviews
