Broadhead bounty

simply simplicity

 

 

 

Caressing edges
slicken
while pause lays on
direction of heading
lantern top spires
Burn evermore
holy fires
perfecting setting
while heavens weep
staging the inevitable
we share in tear
sands that strain
our nimble fingers
praying to light
shadowed along curbsides
awaiting the train
to carry us back
where we recall
what all can be
mountains, flowers, open breeze
these, only purpose, only teeth
where I can take my breath
the elephant on the chest
can go back to the circus
as we the rest of us
till the earth for what is old
consecrated simplicity
held only by things of need
where societies ills
slowly distill
to a purified purpose
in living endless
giving back
what has been taken
