perseverance...

alas, we shall walk this yellow brick road called life.
and, as we journey, people will join us, people will leave. 
at times the road shall seem far from yellow -
(beseeched by darkness and unwelcomed demons)
and it may seem a futile task to continue walking.
but we must! shivering, shaking, by self-will or force!
our march must go on - we must go on!
for what purpose does it serve should we stop or become lost?
is this life not but an adventure for the transcending soul?
find peace knowing that revelation finds us only in hindsight.
until then, embrace the rocky path to eternal enlightenment,
and pray that perseverance always comes to find you,
so that you may fulfill your master rather than abandon.
