Happy Mother's Day

Poem for Mothers

To be loved
is a great gift.
To love is the greatest gift of all.
I wake every morning to
two big beautiful eyes, that look at me.
With love, wonder and excitement
for the day to come.
She teaches me everyday,
how beautiful the world is.
How the Spring brings the grass,
The summer the sun and fruit
The fall, such grace and color. 
And the winter, the snow.
She teaches me that I can do anything
and there is no failure
we just try again.
I cannot understand how there is anything but 
love in this world
If we just look into our children's eyes
breathe deep enough, quiet ourselves and see
the beauty and love around us.
