ZombieA Poem by Veronica ChandlerWhile watching weird stuff on the tube; this one ripped its way out of my head. Bad poem... left me bleeding on the floor.
Zombie Darkness filled orbs Where light once lived Empty nothingness, a void Soulless with no light divine Stolen all hope from your heart Sucked dry of your life force A spirit once bright and alive Vacant orbs once filled; now bear So dark, intense, and foreboding Those orbs where light once lived No emotion, compassion or verve Monotone flat without being Where once was a light like others Now merely exists cavernous abyss Nothingness lights the darkened eyes Those orbs where light once danced From the black hole abyss a blank stare No feeling or life to call your own now Suck the light from others for a fix Those orbs once reflecting beauty Now the living dead © 2011 Veronica ChandlerAuthor's Note
