Long Drive Home

Long Drive Home

A Poem by Kevin Fraser

Long Drive Home

We found things to do in stormy weather,
listened to the raindrops dance.
Across the window pane we watched them,
take their weary chance.

Though we trip upon life's broken rainbow,
sometimes down this road.

Where you and I share a box of rain, and a long drive home.

You can't trust in an establishment,
that don't care who it bleeds.
Let us paint a friendly sky above us,
lay down all our seeds.

Love grows in life's great empire though,
it's scars will always show.

Where you and I share a box of rain, and a long drive home.
