Hammer Song

Hammer Song

A Poem by Kevin Fraser

Hammer Song

There's a nite-lite that's shining, when the shadows take your sight.

Restless eyes sleep with you, making sure your dreams are light.

There will be times when I won't see you, some questions will confound.

Know these arms surrounding you, will always be around.

Some doors in life are broken-Iknow,

You'd love to fix them all.

May the Hammer stay with you, untill the nail gets through.

I want to live in your back pages, close my eyes as your best friend.

A bookmark in your memory, from the beginning to the end.

In your heart where the world comes from, all my wonder comes from there.

With so much in here moving there is so much love to share.

Some doors in life are broken-Iknow,

You'd love to fix them all.

May the Hammer stay with you, untill the nail gets through.

And you must'nt blame the tools.
