Yana made a friend

Yana made a friend

A Poem by Kevin Fraser

Yana made a friend

I could not read between the pages, like I could not write her mind.

So I studied the lines on her face to see if love was in her eyes.

To see if love was in her eyes.

I don't live my life for diamonds, and I don't waste my time on gold.

All the diamonds in this world is in the love I behold.

Is in the love I behold.

Her face flashes through a diamond sky, coming down in the form of a dream.

I thought that she may be a princess, but too young to be queen,

too young to be queen.

She spoke about all of her issues, sweetly blow'n through the ears that I lend.

Beauty just hangs like a prayer where there are fences to mend,

where there are fences to mend.

That's how Yana made a friend.
