Strength of Strings

Strength of Strings

A Poem by Kevin Fraser

Strength of Strings

True love roll these years up my sleeve, pull me through each woven strand.

Many castles in my sky have fallen, as I built my life upon the sand.

Lord tell my family not to worry, for the meak will always find their way back home.

Them that seen me walking in flowers, them that seen me walking on stone.

Peace be with all of my friends, faded in and out of my space.

They are salt, sun and time, some have disappeared without a trace.

Life be kind to my son, if I'm far too lost for him to find.

If love is touching souls, surely he touches mine.

Love take the strength of strings, listen to it rise and fall.

Give the wicked ones a place to sleep, and time for those of us who stall.

Love take the strength of strings.
