Carried Away

Carried Away

A Poem by Kevin Fraser

Carried Away

Nea'th a pale blue morning, they forced me to hide love away.

Put the shadow on my eyes, and a hold on these dreams.

Their chains really blow me away.

Come you men imprisoned gather r'ound, i'll draw pictures for your children to send.

Your guard stands hard at the mercy, of the devil's only friend.

Soon as this carosel stops spinning,

soon as my hands feel to grip,

Its much better when we are together, life's too short to be carried away.

They don't give you time for dreaming, you spend all your time thinking of.

All the moments that we live in trouble, there is not enough time to love.

Soon as this carosel stops spinning,

soon as my hands feel to grip,

Its much better when we are together, life's too short to be carried away.
