Pessimism

Don't let your day be ruined by one negative thought or thing. Squash it, before it squashes you.

Its a dampness in the heart and
a cancer in the soul.
It ravages our minds like a spider,
webbing ill will and evil deeds
from one thought to the next.
Each seedling of light is cast in shadow;
deprived of warmth and water,
light and love,
till gone is all but a papery husk;
a shell   of former life.
