You say I'm special
but I know I'm not

I'm just a very simple girl from Texas
Someone that you could find next door if you looked

You say my smile brightens your day
How many times have you told this to someone
You say that I'm sweet
There are many others out there that are sweeter

I'm not anymore special than anyone else
To every single person in the world
there is that special someone
and therefore if we are all special to someone
then there is no way for someone to be more special

I am not saying I'm not special
I'm just not more special than ANYone
and that includes yourself

I am not above or below anyone
I am just me
it's just that simple
really it is
