It All Starts Here

It All Starts Here

A Poem by Mal Keeth
"

If I told you that you wouldn't interpret on your own

"
Self reliance on a thimble.
Each barb fills cracks of the joints.
Heavy toxins, past breaths sudden gasps.
We are not alone you and I.

I saw you rest a while, teeth chatter.
Waiting to hear a tick of vowels.
Blind, pulled a hair, heart sloshed.
So I drank a bit more.

Rewind a rhythm, brushing at each wink
The gums began to bleed.
Coated covered candy,
Protect it's inner sweet.

Jaw bone click,
as the moon lowered another hour.
Sudden drop, as a hand felt a bit of air.
So I drank a bit more.

Meshed like fish in a net,
all their eyes, beady, looked franticly.
Caught by a net of its own.
It was never meant to capture.

Harder to hold glass
A rubber seal
Nothing swimming.
So I drank a bit more.

Hair brushed, lizard leered
The vowels run stagnate.
Crystal Drool reflected the paper walls
A backdrop of coin appropriate tunes.

The malt tea, ear ringing.
Lips lick every modest thought clean from the air.
What was there to speak of.
So I drank a bit more.

Ride camels, or asses
Ring no bells to say hello
Lights, no, it was the coin appropriate tunes
When they all left.
