Memories

Sometimes I wonder and it drives me insane,

Were you worthy of all the love, and I deserve this pain?

They say whatever happens, it is for the good,

Do I believe it? Of course, I do!

What could be a better example of me living an emotionless life without you.

I desperately want these memories to fade away,

But they find a way to come back to me one or the other way.

I associated few things so intensely with you,

That I can’t look at them without thinking about you.

I hope to see a silver lining someday,

When these painful memories will slowly fade away.

Heartbreak of the hardest kind, when you so desperately want to forget the memories you both shared, yet it can't be forgotten, everywhere you look you them, when you look at specific objects you are reminded of them, will it ever go away? Ah this one's powerful. I've fallen in love and then been heartbroken before, and this is exactly what it feels like. A desperate journey to try to see hope through the fragmented pain inside your heart. Everywhere you look reminds you of them! It's hell! Great poem, I like it a lot. :D

Memories, such a great creation if we think about, those moments we lived in the past and now watch them just like watching through a window where moments are living still in our mind.
But as soon as the person with whom we shared those memories fades away, those memories start giving us a taste of bitterness .Living without the person but only with those memories becomes really hard.
We often hear "what happens ,it happens for good " and "pain will slowly fade away as time passes by" but actually these are just like those serene words to teach ourself to move on and pain doesn't fade away with time but actually we become used to living with those pain.
Beautiflly expressed.
