The Rose

One of the many poems inspired by my boyfriend.

"
Your petals so velvet.
Your thorns so sharp.
Your green stem entangles
my great golden harp.

The harp of my heartstrings,
you pluck them with love
with a sound so beautiful.
Like the angels above.

Your stem wrapped around me.
Around my eternal soul.
I didn't know until now
that you'd play a big role.
