BlurA Story by Split VoicesA side noteIt’s one of those days when time just flies by. Where something needs attention. While you are distracted. Who cares? I am renewed today. I have been cleansed of my past. My visage is clear of the past. I am totally present. I need not defend my distant transgressions. Rejoice. Neither do you. We are here today. We are renewed. Take a moment to enjoy the moment at hand. Bask in the glory.
Feel the warmth of the sand. And don’t be sad when the moment passes. Or maybe, maybe the past is a burden. Not a blessing, but a burden. Not a treasure, but a stone. Maybe you’d rather forget. Maybe you regret. Maybe your sins have been etched into the surface of your bones. The scars. The scars, they do not forget. They live in the past and the
present. They act as timelines. They record us. But they are not us. Rejoice. Your deeds, your doings, your wrongs, your quarrels. They can all be forgotten. They live in the past. © 2013 Split VoicesFeatured Review
