When I walk out of my door
I’m not mine anymore.

I become: lost property
Claimed by the eyes of the men that watch me
I know looking is free,
But I will never be thankful for the ways that I’m seen.

Where am I supposed to look,
Did you ever think that? You, that’s took

Taken, my body and face
Dressed me down, touched, taken up my space
Your own ornamental vase
Which you laugh at when it starts to quicken it’s pace

And I know that it happens to
Everyone, I know, I do.

Is that supposed to make
Me feel better? I suppose if you take
The libido from Blake
His poetic devotion will also break.

A well-written poem. Sexuality is a central part of being human... and a flower. We are attracted to the beauty in both. We all hope to be treated with dignity and respect. The best thing we can do is be a good example to others and distinguish between lust and simple appreciation. Try to display good higher character and love even our unlovely neighbors.

Haven't you looked at another sexually whispering with your girlfriends? Only men do this? I'll bet there's a few women if only out of jealousy.

I'm a bit older than you and know this impossible. As a supervisor in my twenties, I had two older female employees pinching my butt... and many women came on to me, some men too. It was unappreciated.

Now only my wife takes an interest, which is a relief :).

Unfortunately, I always mentally undress a female when looking at them. Especially, if they show more than they should!!

The looking is only free to the ones doing the looking. It can take a heavy toll on the ones who would rather be left alone. A great social comment and wonderful writing. You really pushed your point, great job!
