Tangible

Tangible

A Poem by parker

I want a love that’s tangible.
Even if it’s fragile,
even if it’s breakable.

I want a love that’s visible.
Even if it’s fleeting,
even if it's vulnerable.

I want to look into eyes that see me,
Not eyes that are looking away.
I want to run to arms that hold me,
Not arms that keep me at bay.

I want a man who loves me,
Not one who may love me eventually.
I want a man who I can love,
Who wants me to love him immediately.

I don’t want to continue this way,
Loving the idea that you could love me.
The idea of your love has no eyes to see me,
No arms to hold me,
and no heart to love me.
