To Be the Wind

To Be the Wind

A Poem by parker

Oh! To be the wind!
To run my fingers through the trees.
And to move them limb by limb,
Oh! To be the breeze!
To ruffle tall, thin grasses,
to push and pull the waves.
To be the kiss that quickly passes,
and tiptoes over graves.
To nestle snowy in the mountains,
to gently stir the sands,
to carry mist from gushing fountains
across dry and barren lands.
To wander through the gorgeous world,
to drink each drop of dew.
To see all beauty thus unfurled,
to silently pass through.
Oh! To be the wind!
To kiss, caress, to breathe.
To live to live to live!
And oh! To be the breeze!
