Summer Rain

Summer Rain

A Poem by parker

I stare into eyes that are sapphires.
Clear, bright blue...
Dark as midnight...
Light as summer skies...
Stirred with diamonds.

I stare into eyes that are emeralds.
Vibrant jungle green...
Deep as dense forests...
Soft as spring grass...
Lit with shining dew.

I stare into eyes that are onyx stones.
Black as endless night...
Hard as solid ice...
Calm as deep waters...
Shot through with fire.

But all I see are eyes that are simple brown.
Sweet as summer rain...
Kind as gentle smiles...
And more beautiful than all the rest...
Because they are your own.
