That Won't Work

That Won't Work

A Poem by parker

Don't leave me now.
Don't give up on me,
Don't say that it won't work.
Because that won't work.

We have something,
And I don't know what it is,
But I don't want to lose it.

You say we'd never work,
But that's impossible
Because I can't live without you.
Did you know that you're my muse?
I never wrote until I met you.
I never lived until I met you.

You need something to believe in,
To give you confidence,
Strength and courage.
So do I.
I need you.
Just hearing your voice,
Seeing your name,
Gives me all the motivation
That I could ever need.

I'm sorry I couldn't be your fairy tale.
I wanted to be, I tried.
But I can't change my flaws,
And you can't forgive them.

I hope you do find your fairy tale.
But while you're searching,
Remember me.
Don't leave me now.
I'm not strong enough to let you go.
