Valient Truth

There is a distant rumbling...
It draws nearer with each word spoken.
Every threat screamed.
Each fear exposed.

The authority deceives its' peoples.
They swallow each sweetened lie.
Ordinances proclaimed
And old, enduring promises put to death.

The sunlight that once glittered with hope
Now sets upon orders strictly given.
A harsh, red moon rises
And fear strikes the heart of those once at peace.

All is not well.
Hell reads its proclamations
And peoples are forced to submit
To the new order.

But there are those who's hearts cannot be enslaved.
They refuse to lie still and take it anymore.
They shout out truth,
Though it be neglected and spat upon.

They raise their fists for peace.
Arming themselves with love and light and hope
They storm the lines of evil
Rebuking lies from those dressed in red and blue ties.

They will not sit quietly anymore.
They will not surrender to the oppressive.
Though you chain them and throw them into darkness
They sing the truth clear and strong.

There is a way.
There is peace and light
There is One who can redeem this lost and broken world.
He has come.  He has won.

Though darkness try to prevail
He will not be defeated.
Though death and rottenness seize hearts with fear
He tramples them down and says, "Come to Me!"

His sword flashing, He wields the Truth against evil.
The hooves of His great white horse pound the earth and sky.
He is victorious over death!
He is victorious...

WoW!, this is a nice poem on the neccessite of truth amid difficulty, challenges and suppression. The choice of word clearly created a mental picture its subject matter. I strongly believe that the Truth is Jesus Christ who is victorious over death. Your poem is good. well done.
