still air

still air

A Poem by paul

still air
speaks a very different language
than the wind

 a falling leaf is still
the most magical
thing I've ever seen.

- even in twenty-one and a half words - you capture a lifetime of memories - if there is a magic moment - worthy of the famous flash in front of one's eyes - is it not that of a solitary falling leaf - more so in springtime? - there is just too much that that vision entails - it's leaving home, losing love, being alone, rising, falling, finding, drowning - and all that - in twenty-one and a half words!
