why not

why not stand up

against the sky

and proclaim it just a lie

and the sun 

 just a fool.

why not drink the madness in

and build a castle from within

lie like the sky. what a closer. I'm reading The Sheltering Sky right now, and this poem reminds me of the despair in that book. Yet this despair is specific enough to only be well spoken for in this very poem. Good write.
