you sit there

you sit there

A Poem by yorkie
"

don't worry I have worse stuff not yet in the bin .

"
You sit there
pen and paper in hand
wating for something to go ping
your there 3 or 4 minutes
then something goes ping
the washing machines just finished
so long writing goodbye.

The laundry piling up in my room, the poems not being written... I should at least do the laundry. Maybe tomorrow.

many thanks but why not leave the washing until the day after the day after that and so on .
Nice short funny poem, interruptions inferring with creative writing.

Waiting for a eureka moment. Doesn’t always come does it, when writing:) I enjoyed the washing machine humour here yorkie. Happy new year to you.

i thankyou for your kind words
in these days of darkness they are welcome.
I like the everyday humor here—the “ping” moment is subtle but perfectly captures how small interruptions shape our writing life. Short, simple, and funny.
