AT VERDUN

AT VERDUN

A Poem by yorkie
"

1st world war Scottish soldiers at the front. such is war.

"
Those jock soldiers at Verdun
out on the western front
three days without rations
threatened with the firing squad.
for saying
no porridge no fighting
we wont be doing that.
they got there porridge
then went over the top
none of them ever came back.
