Parallel Paradox

Parallel Paradox

A Poem by peculiar
"

Another freely written piece drafted on a rainy sunday afternoon as I became entranced by the soft drizzle. This reverie spawned in me yet another insight into the parallels and paradoxes of life.

"

Pitter-patter

Drowns out the chatter,

Tuning me into what’s really the matter.

The multitude of thoughts float about,

Dwindling.

I zone out,

Fading…

Drip Drop

Gaze locked.

Entranced by the faint sound

Of water touching ground,

As I am summoned back into the profound.

Plunging once again

Into that familiar reverie

Where I connect to that I call me

Here, I lose myself.

To the beat of the drizzle,

The enchantment of each ripple

Recognizing something in the soft rain,

That I am fated to just the same

As a droplet

Falls,

Inescapably.

 At the whims of gravity

As am I

Destined,

Inevitably.

So I plummet.

Attracted,

Drawn

Towards the summit.

And in the instant

Of ultimate contact

I am dissolved and entangled,

Simultaneously.

Both

Lost and found

In a puddle,

Intimately.
