Death

I want to warning everyone that this poem does give enough detail that you can picture what is going on. This may even bring some emotion up with it.

As the wind blows through your hair it feels very nice. The wind brush past your check like a cold kiss that awakes you from your nightmare. Then you realize that you are standing on the opposite of the door, which holds you out. You try your hardest to open the door then you see it’s locked.  Then you know that you were left out and now are alone. You do not know what to say or do. Not wanting to believe that it is real. Not before long does the snow start to fall from the pitch-black sky. 

 

At first you just stand there looking at the door that shall never open. You soon realize that you have to get a move on before the snowfall gets any harder. You do not want to believe that they would do this to you. Never would you have thought that you were no longer welcome in the house you known ford fourteen years. As you take your fist step towards the stairs tears start to roll down your face. Each step you take feels like you are walking on very hot coals. Now you are alone forever.

 

The first step on the freshly fallen snow feels like tiny piece of cold glass ready to cut up you feet. Now you rather not walk across the snow, but you also cannot return back to your home again. Now you know that you need to move on because you are no longer welcome. With each step you take on the snow more tears roll down your face. Art of you is not willing to move on, but you know that you have to. Scared on what the world might actually hold for you. 

 

What else can you do though? Finally you have made it to the road, which will lead you toward the outskirts of town. You look back form where you had just came form. Just when you had thought you had you tears under control, but then they start to roll down you face again. What can you do to return your life back to the great dream that it was. You say your last goodbyes to you old life and start to walk down the road.

 

After five hours of walking down this never ending road you decide to finally stop. The snow has also finally stopped and the temperate has dropped very fast. You need to find shelter fast or you’ll freeze to death. Your fingers are so cold you have lost almost all felling in them. No one is going to be around on this road because it’s already early morning. You limps feel very heavy and you cannot lift your limps that easily.

 

You truly believe that you might not make it at all. You go and site under the tree and hope that someone will come. Your eyes are slowly started to close when you finally hear a car coming down the road. You know that you need to get up so then the car will see you. Just that you are so tired to walk toward the road or even get up. The only thing you want to do is close your eyes and forget about everything. The care is getting closer and closer with each second that goes by. Finally your eyes close and everything goes black.

 

Not knowing what will happen to your life now. Just that before you know it your hands start to sting along with your feet. Warmth starts to flow into you body. Now you know that something happen. Death was not supposed to be like this right? Suddenly your eyes fly open and you see you are no longer out in the cold. You were in a hospital bed with people all around you. Then the tears started to flow again because none of these people round you are your family. 

As you’re crying your eyes out you felt an arm wrap around you. Your eyes fly open to see this young gentleman’s arm is around you. At fist you don’t know what to say or do. The only person that had ever done anything like that was your brother. Who had gotten killed nineteen years ago. That had just brought a whole new stream of tears. Once you had finally been able to stop crying. The doctors started to ask you what had happened. You promise your family you would not tell.

 

At this point though you really don’t care though. You plan to tell the truth for you don’t care what you had promised your family. You tell them what happen. You try not to cry in thought you know that you will. When you get what happen today the tears start flowing even faster. You just don’t want to believe that this is real. You have been living in fear for a wit of time and now the world will know. You’re not sure you want that to happen, but it’s to late now.  

 

You really don’t like what you have just done. The doctors tell you everything will be alright. Nevertheless you know that everything won’t be ok. You know that everything is about to hit the fan. All you want to do is run and hide. Just that you know that would be showing them that they still rule over you. Now will be the day you are a going to stand up for what you believe in no matter what may happen.

 

That some day the whole world knew the truth about your family. You don’t know what I suppose to happen next since everything seems to be going down hill fast. You thought that once you were going to have to keep walking until you found someone who would take you in. it seems like the world has totally turn their back on you. Who would want to take you in since your family had shut you out? So what can you do to have people allow you into their own home when your family didn’t want you?

 

The only this is when the young gentlemen enter your room again you see that he looks a bit worried. Ten minutes pass before the doctor comes back in with a social worker. You know these types of people very well. Just that you know something is a lot different then the last time you saw these people had something different in their plan. They were there to take you away and lock you up forever. To your surprise they tell you would be going home with this young gentleman who had saved you. 

 

It feels like someone had just let go the waterfall inside you. For you now knew that now you are going to be safe. Just that you wonder what will happen to your family. Then you realize what is the point of worrying about the family who kicked you out of your house. You know that you are going to have a better life now, however it does not change the faced that they were your family. You know that you should not care about what happens to them. For some reason you do thought.

 

The doctor told you that you would be free to go the next day. You already know that you’ll never be fee as long as you family lives. For they would always find away to get back at you. Might as well just give up while you can. Nevertheless when you look the gentleman in his sky blue eyes they give you hope and knowing that there is something that is a lot better out there in the world. You don’t know what thought. Just that those sky blues eyes seem to hold a promise.

 

Now you just have to uncover what the promise is. Could it be having a real family that you had not gotten until this moment in time or is it better then that. As your mind goes around every possibility you come to a thought. You were not going to try and figure it at all, but what you will do is wait until it will show its self to you. You’re a bit scared on going home tonight with a total stranger. Just that you don’t know what else to do.

 

That night feels like it will never end. You can’t stop thinking about how you are going home with a total stranger. Just that you know that at least you are going to be safe a not getting locked out of the house. Just that you are not very happy about going with this stranger, but what other choice do you have though. Either you go home with this gentleman or get locked up for the rest of you life. You really don’t like either idea just that is all the choices you have.

 

Finally your eyes start to close just as the sun is coming up. You see no reasons to fall asleep now because you’re going to be leaving soon anyways. The young gentleman that is taking you home is not longer in you room. So you think that he might have changed his mind. You already know that is an impossible wish to come true. You her footsteps coming down the hallway. You know it either has to be the doctor of the gentleman. You realize at that moment you really just want to be left alone.

 

To your surprise it is both of them. The doctor tells you that you are free to go, however you know that is a total like. You know as long as this gentleman is with you are free. So that is not true freedom at al. you know that if you walk out through the front door of the hospital then you will them get put away. So what else can you do. Instead you get dressed and follow this total stranger outside. You think that maybe this was all a lie and you family is waiting for you outside.

 

Once you get outside you see that your family is once again nowhere in sight. Now you a bit shocked because once again they are nowhere to be seen. You figured that once he looks away you’re going to make a run for it. Just then you look beside you just in time to see him look away. Now is your chance. You take off toward the street. You stop in mid-step a look back. This man helped you and now you area going to return to the family who kicked you out.

 

You turn back around and start running. You keep pushing yourself to go faster and faster because the tears have already started to flow like a stream down your face. You feel like you are doing the right thing even though it’s not only tow more miles before the hospital will be out of sight. Six hours later you find yourself back at the house you once called home. It was a bit mistake to have come back here, but what else could you have done.

 

Go home with a total stranger. No you know that no matter what might happen you will always end back up home. You already know that you are nto welcome here anymore. Well that is to bad thought because you’re going to live there no matter what may happen. You slowly walk on the snow up to the door. You feel the pain building up in your chest threaten to take you over. Before you are even able to take your fist step toward the door. The door goes flying open.

 

Now you know that you should probably run for your life. Never thought because you are going to take your stand. That was before you sea the three dogs who are ready to attack you. You knew that now was the time to run, but you refuse to run. For you know that they are trying to scare you. You see the dog starting to running towards you. Your brain is screaming for you to run, but your feet are feeling like they are glued to the floor.

 

Before you know it the dogs are attacking you. Not knowing if you are actually going to be alive when these dogs are down with you.  As quickly as they had attacked you the dogs were called off. Now what can you do. You are pulled to your feet and dragged into the house. They drop you on the floor. At fist you don’t realize the strip pieces of glass that is cutting it not your back until the dogs decided to run over you. Which also pushes the glass even further into your back.

 

You want to cry out because of the pain. Just that you can’t cry out for then they will have power over you. You cannot allow that though because you need to show them that you are stronger then they are. It feels like the dogs weight a hundred and ten pounds each. Then you realize that a tear has managed to escape you eyes. You hear people laughing from the other room. You close your eyes and think about your life a how it was before everything.

 

When you open your eyes again to realize that you are alone aging. You can here the howls from distanced dogs. Then you finally see the howls are not form dogs, but wolves. You know that you have to get up and run for you life. Just that your chest kills and you taste something salty in your mouth. On no you then find out that you are going to died because they have beaten you. You figure that the wolves are going to have a good dinner. 

 

When you wake up you’re back in the hospital.  Oh great your family is now here to be found. The young gentleman is once again by your bedside. Now you see that this man does truly care about you. That he only wants to help you out. Your chest really hurts along with your back. You try to let the man you are wake; however the only thing that comes out was a soundless cry. Then slowly everything goes dark on you. Is this how death is actually suppose to be.

 

You try to fight to keep your eyes open, it does not work though. You feel someone holding your hand as you go into shock for loss of blood. At that point you know you don’t want to die yet. You want to live so you try your hardest to keep fighting. Nevertheless you don’t know why you should fight since you know that no one cares if you’re alive or not. 

 

When you wake up you have a really bad headache. You don’t care though because you are alive and that is all that matter to you. The man is laying his head down on his arm. Just hat you see that he is holding your hand. Tears start to rain down your face. For the reason someone actually cares about you. You try your hardest no to cry because you don’t’ want to wake him up. To late though he is already awake and is holding you while you cry.

 

For some reason you feel happy. How could someone love and care for you? Who cares thought you have your own little happy life wait for you when you are finally free. The doctor comes in and check on you and makes sure you don’t go back into shock. You ask your question and find out the answers. They say that you would be in the hospital find out the answers they say that you would be in eth hospital for a few more weeks just to make sure that your body is healing the way it should.

 

You want the whole family put into jail for what they have done, but there is a downfall. You can’t prove that they had down anything to you. When you know that it is true. Those people in you family covers their tracks a lot better then most people could. They will make sure that everything that they had down to you will disappear for good. It will be like it was never there or even happen in the fist place.

 

Those weeks seemed to fly by fast and you are finally able to sleep in bed. You feel like you need to pay back all the pain that your family gave you, however you know that is a bad idea. On the way to you new home you watch as the tree fly past the window. Knowing that you are going to be able to live in a safer place. Just that you don’t know if you really like that idea or not. You know that your life will better then it was with your family.

 

Once you get to your new home you are pretty shocked how welcoming the house feels. Now you know that is how a home is actually suppose to feel. You finally feel safe and feel like you can call this house your home. For you know that the young gentleman will not lock you out of the housel like your family had. You were going to be able to be like any other child in the world. Just that you had to do something before you got your life back. 

 

It seemed to you that this man could read your mind. You stopped at the graveyard to talk to your brother. You had thought that he would actually follow you to make sure that you would not try to run again. Instead though he waits in the car until you get back. This is a good thing for you so then you can talk to your brother alone. You know you can’t be long because if you are then he might bet worried before you know it five hours had past. Then you said your goodbyes to your brother.

 

The young gentleman start up the car and you are on your way again. He does not asks what took so long or even why you were late this made you happy because he doesn’t ask anything. It’s like you feel so comfortable with him. You go out to eat for the first time. You don’t know what to think though. All those thoughts of not eating for weeks on end decides to fill you r head. Could that able way you are eating out tonight.

 

He must have known what you are thinking. He tells you that it’s his way of getting to know you better. You think he is going to ask you about your past. Instead he explains to you what will be happening form now on. Once you hear that you will be getting three meals a day you give him a grin. For you have not had three meals a day since you stared to go to school. You really don’t catch the other things he had said.

 

That night when you are about to get into bed you are stopped by him. What have you done wrong? Nothing at all he gives you pj and tell you to put these on before going to bed. You go into the bathroom, change then come out. In one hand you have your clothes that have to many holes in them to count. The man holds out his hands and you give him your clothes. Before he leaves the room you give him a big hug and say good night.  

 

By morning you feel like a whole new person until you look around. You don’t remember where you are at all. You start to race around looking for your clothes, but can’t find them. The young gentleman walks into the room and explains to you everything that has happen. Finally you relax an see that this is your new home. That you’re safe. He giver you another pair of clothes. You don’t know if you should wear them because they are not yours. You put them on anyways.

 

For the rest of the day you decide to get use to the house an everything else for that matter. For a first you do not know what you should do at all. So you sit in a large room filled with books. To your surprise he told you to pick a book. You choice a book that you thought would be cool to read. Just that you remember that you do not know how to read. So you sit in hi slap and read the whole book to you.

 

Never in your life had someone been this kind to you. You are at a total loss on how to thank him. So instead you pick another book and ask him to read it to you. It feels so good to you knowing you don’t have to worry about getting hurt. To your surprise his voice was like the sweet, sweet sound of the birds singing. To you nothing else matters because you were finally able to known what it feels to be loved and most of all cared for.

 

You really can’t believe that this guy would do this for you. In the long run you are happy that he took you in since your family was not really there for you at all. For some dumb reason though you felt like you had something started that you had been unable to finish. Just that you really could not put your finger on what though. You figured that someday you would be able to actually to figure out what it is.

 

You are left alone in this house today. No big deal because you know that he will be coming home soon. That he only went out for work. Just that as you wait you realize that something was wrong. You remember he had taken the day off. So where could he… the door bell rings which stops you in mid thought. When you answer the door you two police officer. They tell you that you have to go back in life with you real family. All you want to do is scream.

 

You follow them to the car and say goodbye to that life. You already know that you will not be returning. You family looks very happy when they see you. Just that you already know it’s a lie. You can see though already know that no one is going to believe you. So whey do you think that coming back with police would change anything. For when the police are gone the truth will be seen.

 

You act like your happy to see you family. The police leave only seconds after that. Now the game begins to see if you will live to see another day. You know your family will kill you off just like your brother. You don’t plan to go down though. You have a plan that will stop this game for once and for all. You already know that they would never see it coming. Nevertheless you know you must go through with it or else. Before you enter the house you say you last good byes and say a little prayer.

 

For you already know that this is not going to end up pretty. For tonight the games will no longer be play. For there will be no one to play them. You hope you have enough strength to bring down your family or else. You hope that the young gentleman is doing very well. That he might move on with his life and forget about you. Nevertheless you know that tonight will be remember by all. For you would be doing an unforgettable act.

 

You are put straight to work, about you refuse to since you will no longer be taken orders from them. They do not know what is about to hit them. You watch them as they looks shocked at how brave you have become. As they raise their hand about to hits you for refusing to do as they said. You kick them all in the knees so now they are down at you level. What you did next you don’t even remember because you blacked out.

 

When you come back to your sense are surround by bodies and covered in blood. The only thing that you do remember was your family screaming for help. You then realize that you no longer had to live in free. For your family is dead. Never did you think that you would actually be able to go through with your plan. Now you are the one with the power over them. You pick up the phone and call the police. You tell them what you remember.

You turn yourself in for you knew that it was the right thing to do. You get the feeling your brother would be happy for turning yourself in. Now you will face judgment on the crime you have done. Nevertheless you do not care for you know you are free. Not the fake free that people talk about, however the real free. Knowing that are not powered by anyone. Now you can rest easily knowing your family is gone. Never to hurt another soul.

 

The judge looks down at you with tears in his eyes. For he know the crime you have commit. He also know you turned your self in without a fight. The judge is sad to have send you to your death after all you have been put through. That no one would not end this way for you. Since you are so young, however he also has to follow the laws just like you.

 

You are walk to a room with a chair in the middle your end is very near. It does not matter to you though. For you are glad you didn’t get off the hook for the crime you commit. You may have a whole life a head of you. Nevertheless someone has to pay. Your family has already paid so now it’s your turn. You cry as they lock you into the chair. For you know that chair is where your life will end.

 

You close your eyes and think of happier times. The electrician runs through your veins, but it feels like fire. The last tear that you will ever shed rolls down your face. For you know that you won’t be walking back out of the room. Instead two people will carry your lifeless body out. The world will never forget that event that happen that faithful day. Nevertheless your name will be forgotten.
