Deluded

Deluded

A Poem by notekeeper22

Today I looked at my palm
And saw the spaces between my fingers
The emptiness where the cold air passed through
Gave me a shiver
And an unpleasant thought seeped through

What if this hand never holds another hand ever?
What if it withers, and dries, and loses its fires?

For a moment I was near to shed a tear
But then you called...

And my worry swayed
Like a rush of water in the mad river
