A lot of our pain comes from our not living fully. Live a full life, and die to your pain. Pain can kill our innerness quickly. Die to pain, live. Don't let pain kill your life.

Senryu: A pained life

Pain pained me so much.

Painfully, I tried to live.

I died to my pain.

Although the poem seems to strike a somber tone, the last line comes across hopefully. It reminds me of St. Paul's "I die daily."

Yes, it could mean I came to life, by not allowing my pain to kill most of my life in me. Making a start to live, despite the pain, must be the painful first step out of a life of pain.
