autumn in stride

autumn in stride

A Poem by Periac
"

a seasonal piece

"

do you greet the cinnamon autumn with regret?

now our forest hikes obscured

with ailing leaves in various rotten color

chilled in damp mornings

may we pray for brittle sunny days

with the claps of those same leaves

welcoming us to their dale

theres a breeze heavy in season

accented with pepper

fingering through your lovely hair

lets laugh together

around a warm apple pie leaking with steamy juices

us

ornamented in comforters of down and sunday

Periac! this made me snicker:
"lets laugh together
around a warm apple pie leaking with steamy juices"

You have a gift, my dear. This is outstanding. :)

The pictures you paint with your words are so profound. I feel like you have just painted a feeling in my heart, instead of painting a story. This is an amazing thing that you can do with words...
