The Forest through the TreesA Poem by Phoenix Project ProductionsShort Poem about My life perspectiveStanding back and taking it all in. No longer focusing on the one thing, the little thing.
I concern myself less with the spiritual and more with the terrestrial. It wasn't always this way.
Far too long a time spent in mourning of a life I couldn't have, that would never be mine again.
Far too long a time spent missing someone lost.
But you can't see the forest through the trees.
I learned to step away, to re-orient my focus and find beauty in the grand design. Redemption comes
to those not stymied by narrow vision.
I feel a weight lifting. I feel it, decreasing gradually as time removes me from one dark point and brings me
to one of light.
The trees fade and a new vision emerges. The forest becomes my focus, the miniscule flaws lost
To a broader magnificience. © 2014 Phoenix Project ProductionsAuthor's Note
