A Chapter by Anthony

[A woman with no discernable accent, but a rough, scratchy voice that sounds like a car breaking down, or a lawnmower running over a pile of gravel. She takes heavy, wheezing breaths between sentences, frequently shouting out in an angry voice, for emphasis. The background is filled with strong winds and loud footsteps.]

This is the first time since I moved here that there's been an available lot. Do you know what this means?! I can open a business! I can build a house! I can live with David again... I can get off the streets, I can eat three meals a day, I can sleep, I can READ! I can be everything that I'm not, and I can rub it in that a*****e Mike's face until the day he DIES.

[Likely refers to Michael McLina.]
[How can a homeless woman afford an audio diary?]
