HadesA Poem by nigrum homonculusi thought it would be interesting to tell a story of a person walking in the realms of hades. didn't go too deep into it because you would be sat here for hours reading my imagination.I wake up on a bed of stone. Quilts made of dead skin. The air itself is putrid. What is this place? The stalactites high above, Stalk me as I walk this plain of pain. Catching glimpse of a distant river, Where the deliquents are baptised in their sins. The scenery is serene. But that’s because, The dead do not speak. The mist that clouds the ground, Just covers up the mortified faces I blindly tread on. Have I not lived life of honour? Showed my valour in the face of discrimination? So why am I casted into this realm? Where the cycle repeats for eternity. © 2012 nigrum homonculusFeatured Review
