THE LIGHT

THE LIGHT

A Poem by Phil Roberts

When the clouds roll in with the night,
hiding the stars and even the moon
so that there is no light in the sky,
I close my eyes and seek another illumination.
One that is all mine alone.
It is the light of my truth.
Mine alone
Unshared and unsharable

I'm from the north-west of England where the rain lives. I am retired and a grandfather to many. I've led an "interesting" life, i suppose you could say, with lots of laughter and a few tears, like mo.. more..
