December Song

A poem in which i tried to express how beautiful winter can be.

Lingering in the sweet, pale sunrise,

Gracing the frosted world with a delicate harmony

 

Pure and soft beneath these melancholy skies, hopeful

despite the resentment of the cold

 

Angelic, aching notes dance over fresh snow,

Radiant, breathtaking… winter

 

Reflected in the mirror-bright icicles,

Symphonies of delicate threnody

 

Offering tentative charity:

a moment of compassion, hope,

 

And warmth

Yeeeeahhh... very nice. You have used some really lovely phraseology here and some perfect words to conjour up a crisp winter morning. I love winter mornings when everything is cold, silent and sterile - wonderful.

Beautiful it was as if I saw the picture as you described it. pulling me away off on some mountain top watching the new sunrise bringing warmth to a new day. Again very lovely

Very good. But I am going to be honest. I really feel that great poetry is poetry that says something in a way that has never been said before. You flow was good, your images great, but they seemed worn when I read them. Still, it is a great poem, and you don't need to please my every whim with your writing. Mmm. Sounds so peaceful like paradise. I love cooler weather like late Fall. Where the chill is in the air and everything is dying off. The sky is normal the most amazing colors at that time of year.
