I wrote this after my break up to this guy I was completely in love with. Its hard to get over someone you gave everything you had.

Forgettings like wishing
on that shooting star
it takes more than a wish
to forget who you are

I burnt all the papers
and scratched off the scars
I leave all the memories
in a long lost jar

But the jars seem to pile
Behind in my mind
in a small little place
tucked behind time

I think i am ready
to leave it all behind
