Pams

Pams

A Poem by Scott H.
"

A poem about 3 great ladies I have known, all of them named Pam

"

“Pams”

Such Pams that I have known,
I never shall forget them.
There was the gothic velvet princess
Who trekked with me ‘cross Britain,
We made our drunken way through
London nightclubs and double-deckers,
Paused in the scintillating light as
It dappled the cloisters of Oxford.
Then there was my boss from B&N,
My counselor, my confidante,
Our giddy gallivanting-a-go-go
To Stevie Nicks at Radio City and
Loreena at Toronto’s Massey Hall
Still sound audibly in my memories.
There is she who’s with me now,
The self-professed oldest waitress
In all the spanning of the world,
The horse-maven traveling from
Florida to Nantucket to New York,
Her path through life a blazing trail
For me to follow.
Such Pams that I have known,
I never shall forget them.

As a tribute, well done, as a poet, I think not. Originality lacking, sincercity, questionable. More thought required.
