Midnight (The Veil)

Midnight (The Veil)

A Poem by Scott H.
"

A love lost poem from Hallowe'en

"

“Midnight (The Veil)”

Midnight, the Veil and
Then nothing –
My vigil does end for
This night

From my window the cornfields,
The dark sky –
No fae spirits dance nor
Take flight.

(With no word from
The river –
No word from
The wind.)

I waited passed by through
The deep night –
My heart fervently pining
For something

That I might’ve been touched by
Some Other –
Instead midnight, the Veil and
Then nothing.

This could make an amazing song.

From my window the cornfields,
The dark sky-
No fae spirits dance nor
Take flight.

This vivid, eerie imagery is really rather beautiful. Quite fantastic. Great read.
