Early verse

Early verse

A Poem by PJ

Lately I have come to see
  Divisions of the heart,
When the fear of losing you
  Was much the greater part.
Now, perhaps, I moved too wide,
Too wide for you to see,
The deepest truth that this love
Has set so deep in me.
If this be not the reason,
  I'll understand far less,
All the matters of the heart,
  And all your loveliness.
For though your eyes still outshine,
   The brightest evening star,
I feel in you a distance,
  That somehow seems as far.

I like this PJ it is one of uncertainty, but though the heart maybe of concern, at the same time it is giving it's all .................. Personal, dread, yet still trying :)
