Garden in Zen

Garden in Zen

A Poem by plainme

Hollow footsteps in the ground

Try to listen, there’s no sound

Smudged out shadows on the wall

Look outside, leaves a’fall

Whispering ghosts in my ear

You are far, far from here

Shorter days, longer nights

Killing time, while my body fights

But the sun shines on you

And I know that feeling’s true

Shines its rays on your cherry locks

And blends in with the peoples’ flocks

I am looking through your eyes

Reading books as your time flies

I want you back but no, stay there

You’ll be back when its all fair

And all we’ll do is stare and stare…
