compact surprises

compact surprises

A Poem by plainme

there are memories that are left in the sand

part of a larger cycle, of rock to dust

just like old summer kisses

through the cycle they go must

the sea serenades

the sea awash

like a string orchestra

the winds whistle and gust

there are memories buried

deep in the sands

ones of long gone loves

but just like life gives and takes

love will find a way

like buried rocks find crust
