Love & Heroin

Love & Heroin

Love
it ran deep in her veins
much like heroin
her syringe was not filled with caramel colored hatred & longing to forget
but,
pink colored giggles
red roses
blushing cheeks at every compliment
sighs & smiles that fill the silence
midnight goodbye kisses
and beauty only know to the two of them
for that was her addiction
and love was her drug of choice

You are writing my view of addiction. There are many additions whether love, drugs, sex, food, video games and many more. As an additive personality myself and working with many addicts, I find you will always be addicted so try to find one that will do the least damage. And love is much safer than Heroin. Great piece but I am drawn to dark addictive pieces with love. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed it.
