Eyes of Blue

Eyes of blue,

The deep blue waters of desire.

I am captured,

Within the deepness of their fire.

 

A tinge of green,

The green of passion’s burning flame.

I am consumed,

By the loving fullness of the same.

 

Eyes that sparkle,

The sparkle of delight and love.

I am in awe,

Of the angel sent down from above.

 

As I look deep in your eyes,

I feel at one with you.

Enveloped in your warm embrace,

No earthly worries come into view.

 

I feel myself falling,

Deeper into those pools of blue.

There is no finer thing to seek,

Than the full extent of loving you.

patrick, well done! it's all in the eyes. i read a poem years ago, can't remember it except the lines,,,but mostly, it's eyes, just eyes. this is along the same vein. i liked it.
