Just look at those dreamy eyes;
his plans for the day, I'll get him to revise.

She's hard to figure out. Are all girls the same?
What's this silly giggle, when she says my name?

I wish I knew what he was thinking in that cute little head.
I hope he forgets his baseball game, and stays with me instead.

Is my hat on crooked? She's looking at me funny.
I wonder what he would do, if I were to call him honey.

Boy is he shy! I wish he would hold my hand.
Come on cute boy, it's not as if I'm asking for a wedding band.

No wonder Daddy keeps saying he doesn't understand women.
He keeps saying that, over and over again.

I borrowed Mommy's perfume. She said it works every time!
I hope she doesn't expect me to buy lunch, I only have a dime.

Her romantic sighs fill the air
as he keeps asking himself  "Why does she have that weird stare?"

Enough of the small talk. How about a kiss?
Her lips are twisted, is she going to hiss?

When I puckered my lips, he was clueless, and I almost died!
Great ~  always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

This poem made me smile. This is definitely something everyone can relate to. The way you kept switching between the two perspectives made it so easy and fun to read. I really enjoyed this one, keep it up!

Wonderful collaboration, full of fun and the confusion that comes with teenage infatuation (often believed to be love) and all the mixed messages that coincide with it. Enjoyed this thoroughly my sweet cuz. Scott.

This write is very amusing! It tells the old tale of time... the confusion between boys and girls and between men and women. A creative piece that just describes how are thoughts can be so different between two genders.. and the confusion that ensues right after!

A great piece.. and a fun read. :)
